Our Sign

Our building is located on a main thoroughfare in our community.  We put up a lighted sign many years ago to post events to let the community know what is happening at our congregation and sayings to encourage them as they drive by.  At least a couple of times a month someone stops by to tell us that our sign just really touched them or has helped them through some really trying times.  God can use anything to reach out to those who need Him.

Here is what is on each side of our sign this week:

You're never wrong to do the right thing. -Mark Twain

To worry about tomorrow steals the joy from today.

Sunday Morning, July 31

Barry Galindo will be speaking to us this Sunday. His sermon title is "The Love of God Never Changes."

David Young from North Boulevard Church of Christ in Murfreesboro, TN did a series on Prayer for us. You may download the audio tracks from the three lessons below. It's a very powerful message that applies to us all.

“Cultivating a Life of Prayer”

Jesus was a man of prayer; to follow Jesus, we should be people of prayer.  In this lesson, we’ll explore how to develop a life of prayer.

“And the Place was Shaken”

We’ll explore why our churches absolutely must be places of prayer and what to expect when prayer is woven into the fabric of your church.

“How to Build a House of Prayer”

A detailed description will be given of what the church needs to do in order to become a house of prayer and what it will look like when you become a house of prayer.

Recordings from these sessions are now available from the links below or from our Sermon Recordings page:

Part 1: “Cultivating a Life of Prayer”

Part 2: “And the Place was Shaken”

Part 3: “How to Build a House of Prayer”
