Our Sign

Our building is located on a main thoroughfare in our community.  We put up a lighted sign many years ago to post events to let the community know what is happening at our congregation and sayings to encourage them as they drive by.  At least a couple of times a month someone stops by to tell us that our sign just really touched them or has helped them through some really trying times.  God can use anything to reach out to those who need Him.

Here is what is on each side of our sign this week:

His Story our Hope.  Join us Easter Sunday

Discover Hope this Easter.

Easter Sunday

We invite you to be part of our great Easter service, April 20, 2014.  Be part of the worship on that day as Barry Galindo speaks about hope. The title is: "Discover Hope this Easter."

Weekly Challenge from Barry

Go Deeper”

April 9, 2014

Our world is in desperate need of the Good News of Jesus Christ!  They need the hope, peace, joy and purpose that only comes through having a relationship with the almighty God of the universe who loves and values them no matter what their background is.  God went to the most extreme measure to prove that He loves us all by sending His Son to die for us on the cross.

What is His plan to spread the Good News and bring people into a saving relationship with Himself?  He only has one plan! That plan is for you and me, His body, His Church, His disciples to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world.  That’s it!  There is no back-up plan!

How many of us who have been around a while have witnessed people around us in need of the Gospel, but waited for “something to happen?”  Yet those people still remain without Christ.  Could it be that the “something we are waiting to happen” is really the Spirit’s call for us to be courageous and just come out and share Jesus with them?

The challenge this week is for us to answer Jesus’ call to be fishers of men and women.  To recognize that God only has one plan to save and bring people into the kingdom – and that is for you to share Jesus with them.  Decide to witness to those God has been calling you to share your faith with as if though it is the only plan He has for them to come to Christ.  If we would do this, no doubt we would begin to feel the urgency to reach out to the world like God wants us to.

Sunday Evening

This Sunday evening, April 20, we will not meet at the SW church building. Enjoy quality time with family.
