The Southwest Church of Christ is a group of Christians bound together by faith in Christ and love for one another. We believe that Jesus Christ is Savior, Lord and the expression of God’s grace.

God has shown His love and concern for us through His Son (John 3:16).  God sent His Son on a mission to save the lost (Mark 10:45). Jesus accomplished this by dying on a cross for our sins and by rising on the third day.

The cross and the resurrection of Jesus are at the center of our relationship with God. A person becomes a Christian by placing his faith in Jesus as his Savior, openly confessing that faith, repenting or turning away from sin, and being united with Christ through the water of baptism.

We accept the Bible as the inspired, authoritative Word of God, which speaks to us even today. This living message offers direction to our lives. Jesus calls each of us to follow Him.

We want to help our friends and neighbors in the southwest suburbs of Portland experience God’s love, His forgiveness and the blessings that can be found by being a part of His family.
