When the Southwest Church of Christ began, it was determined that the first 10 percent of contributions would be dedicated to missions. This same spirit has continued through the years, and now Southwest dedicates 15 percent of contributions to mission work.

The church supports seven native evangelists in Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Malawi, Africa.

In addition, we support three missionary families with strong ties to Southwest.
• Chris and Alessandra Kelley are missionaries in Brazil. Chris was raised at Southwest, and his family still attends here today.  Their newsletter is available online.

• Eric and Susan Guild are serving as missionaries in Tanzania, Africa. Eric is the grandson of co-founders Claude and Sammy Guild and the son of Sonny Guild, who served as a minister at Southwest for several years. Susan’s parents, Paul and Julie Hinds, are long-time members of Southwest, and Paul serves as deacon of our missions committee.  More information about their work can be found at www.missionmwanza.org

• John and Anita Goodyear work in Baker City, Oregon. John is a brother of Dan Goodyear, our outreach minister.
