    The Christmas Story

    The Christmas Story
    Mike Anderson & Marc Compton

Join us in December to ponder the significance of the Christmas Story through the eyes of Luke, the Physician. Luke’s account of the gospel is compelling as he accentuates the themes of Joy, Love, and Compassion throughout his telling of the Story of Jesus. Using Luke 1 & 2, we intend to use the energy of this season of Christmas to better understand the significance of God becoming man; of the righteousness of Zachariah, Elizabeth, and Mary; of the praises to God; of the great fanfare around the birth of Jesus; of the timing of God and the state of that society; and other themes of importance to this precious moment in time. In the new year, we will continue in the book of Luke looking at the powerful beginning of the ministries of John and Jesus in Luke 3 & 4 during January and then discuss the major life themes throughout the rest of Luke in February.

    Profiles in Faith

    Profiles in Faith
    Ken Hines

Jesus was often surprised by the small faith of his disciples. And without faith it is impossible to please God. But how does faith happen, and how does faith grow? What role is faith intended to play in human life? What lessons can we learn from those who have gone before us? For seven weeks, we will look at classic examples of biblical faith. This is an in-depth, low-tech study of Hebrews 11:1-31
