Baker City, Oregon - John and Anita Goodyear

For over 2 decades, John & Anita Goodyear have devoted themselves to re-establishing the church in this gateway town in eastern Oregon.  For a good part of this time, Southwest has been a partner in this work, financially and in other ways.  There is now an active, outreach-oriented body of about 40 meeting in its own debt-free building in the central part of town, with regular Bible studies and baptisms.  The Southwest teens' mission trip there last summer gave a big boost to teen outreach in Baker City.  In 2009, B.C. is scheduled to receive two different one-week teams from SW: one by the SW teens and a second by a team of teachers and assistants who will conduct a VBS for children in Baker City.
