Chris & Ale Kelley - Praia Grande, Sao Paulo, Brazil

Chris & Ale Kelley and their children are completing their first full calendar year in Brazil.  Together with their teammates, Francisco & Liduina Lira, Ale's parents, they have planted a church in this working class seaside city of a quarter million people.  They now meet in a rented facility and have regular visitors.  Chris has devoted a major part of his time to launching a School of the bible. People in other parts of Brazil have been receptive to the gospel when it has been presented in this manner.  The Liras are veteran church planters who have helped establish healthy, growing churches in several locations in Brazil.  Francisco focuses on teaching one-on-one bible studies and then teaching maturing studies once people have been baptized.  Southwest sponsors this work and plans are being made to send a small team for 10 days to help the Praia Grande church with a particular project of the P. G. church's choosing.
